There is perhaps no greater example of "Leopards eating faces" than all of the right-wing Jews resigning from the Heritage Foundation because they've discovered that right-wing nationalist politics is not ultimately good for the Jews. www.nationalreview.com/news/exclusi...

Seeing Mamdani celebrate Hanukkah with the Patinkins really hit home. This is the 'welcome home' my heart needed before my imminent return to NYC
It was such a joy to celebrate Hanukkah with Mandy, Kathryn and their son, Gideon. As Jewish New Yorkers across our city prepare to light candles and mark the seventh night today, I wish you and your families a Hanukkah full of light and love.

Muting a Black woman to claim the vote was unanimous is so incredibly on the nose
The White House claims the vote to rename the Kennedy Center was “unanimous.” That is false. I was muted on the call and denied the opportunity to speak or register my opposition. That is not consensus. That is censorship.

This week, we spoke with Sarah Schwartz of @jewishcouncilau.bsky.social. We parsed the various responses to the Bondi Beach attack; explored the folly of conflating ISIS ideology w/ Palestine politics; & reflected on the role & responsibility of the Jewish left amid antisemitic violence.

I think it's absolutely true that right now, in the US, young people are more antisemitic than older people, but what I really think this shows is that there was an abnormally low amount of antisemitism in Christian culture for two generations post-WWII, and now we're just returning to the norm.
My latest: Contrary to popular perception, American antisemitism is not primarily a partisan problem—it is a generational one. "The research collectively suggests that America is becoming more anti-Semitic because its young people are becoming more anti-Semitic." Gift link:

“According to early numbers from Nielsen’s, the one-hour CBS News town hall, which aired on Saturday at 8 pm, declined 27 percent in total viewership compared to the network’s standard programming in that time slot year to date and was down 47 percent in the key demo”

After the Sydney Hanukkah massacre, I saw anguish, outrage, and the beginnings of a national reckoning: How could the Jewish community have been left so vulnerable? And how did a nation that prides itself on strict gun laws allow two men to be so heavily armed?

Imagine moving from the UK to Mexico and saying that you were going to open Mexico's greatest bakery because Mexico don't have a culture of bread.

I live in NYC which is not heavily Mexican for the US, and I still live a couple of blocks from a panadería. What is this man talking about?
