I said my main goal of this trip was to meet with Kilmar. Tonight I had that chance. I have called his wife, Jennifer, to pass along his message of love. I look forward to providing a full update upon my return.

We are now living in a dangerous type of country where malicious bureaucrats think they can blithely ignore judges' rulings.

They need to be held in contempt and arrested, not scolded.

Is America great again yet? Or how many more sick 10-years have to be deported to meet that goal?

If you can, please throw a couple of bucks in the pot to support the next generation of scientists.
I need help. 3 National STEM Festival sponsors pulled funding because of the current climate. Please help. This is a life changing opportunity for kids that have worked so hard!

"Despite graduating last June from Hartford Public High School in Hartford, Connecticut, and earning a scholarship to college, Aleysha is illiterate."
This amazing young woman used technology to read and write when public schools failed to adequately teach her.

Given the dislike and perceived uselessness of my subject that I have seen as a math teacher, I wager it will be removed from that list soon. And reading will probably just be taught as sight words, so people can't read anything too advanced.

Today, for music in our homeschool, we learned about the Native-American & Mexican band Redbone and that their song "We were all wounded at Wounded Knee" was banned from US radio stations because it was a "confrontation of a sore subject matter." youtu.be/AvZbmLJlSoM?...

Today's homeschool field trip was to a circus school in a repurposed old church. The kids got to try out trapeze, tight rope walking, aerial silks, German wheels, and learn some juggling skills. It was a lot more fun than gym classes I had in school.

If your education skipped over Japanese internment camps, I highly recommend getting George Takei's book "They Called Us Enemy". It's an easy, but very powerful, read in graphic-novel style. My daughter and I read it as part of her homeschool history curriculum in 4th grade.
Trump has deployed active military to help round up migrants and put them into detention camps.

The military forced us out of our homes at gunpoint in 1942 because we were considered possibly disloyal Americans. They sent us to internment camps for four years.

History is repeating. Pay attention.

Pin this, save it, we’ll need it.

“When a prison camp opens in your town…when a DREAMer is disappeared from your classroom…when the President destroys what’s left of the Constitution…They will all say they didn’t know this was coming. And I want the American people to know that they did.”

"You shall find, child, that there are many monsters in this world who hide their darkness beneath a mask of piety. Call yourself a religious man and nobody will question you; do it well enough and you can stab them in the back,..., while they nod and say it is all for their own good." /1
