Today marks one year since the guest cats came for a brief stay. Now they are permanent residents. 2 weeks ago they "welcomed" Bella a white terrier as a guest dog.

@helps.octranspo.com Since Stage 2 handover is delayed, you need to winter proof hoarding at Place d'Orleans staircase. There was very significant pooling during rain events this week. The puddles on stairs will be ice soon.

Asphalt that went in in September, is already crumbling. Very very large grains compared to other patches. My suspicion is road asphalt that requires rolling to blend was tamped by hand.

20 years ago this month when I moved here, the service standard was 20 minutes between trips.
The 30 has a cancelled trip so 39 minute service.
The 31 is on 30 minute service.
I don't know if I trust 138 data. I reported an error in data a few weeks back. No cancelled trip. #OttPoli

They were part of expansion joints before. The recent work doubled the width of both sidewalks. The old drainage may no longer be accessible

I don't think there is a single sewer grate on the revitalized wider Jeanne d'Arc bridge over the 174. There are a few access holes. I am curious if the white paint indicates where they need to be carved into the new cement. #OttPoli

These 2 sidewalk divots are 3 m apart on the busy Blair EB bus platform. Likely OCT infrastructure, not in LRT maintenance contract.
Typically, orange paint indicates repair has been deemed "required". I'm curious why only one got painted

My contribution to #OttPoli sidewalk discussion. On an arterial road in Orleans. The orange spray paint normally means it has been assessed for repair in the near future. However, the orange stake gives me pause. It looks to be a warning to sidewalk snowplow driver. Right pic from April. Left today

I can't decide if I should lobby @helps.octranspo.com and @lauradudas.bsky.social to have the bus stop sign fixed or the route. 138 (IMHO) ought to run both directions on Grey Nuns all day to serve two schools as this sign indicates. In fact, 138 has partial service part of the day at this stop.

Maybe instead of thinking this is a sidewalk gap, I should consider it an untended narrow bioswale. I should plant sunflowers.
