When your dear friend has a leg amputation, what do you do but knit them a single sock? It was fun to find a pattern with right and left socks (Vaidava Memories by Zanete Hussain), and to use a remnant skein of Koigu. 🧶

Every year I grouse that if it's going to be cold and winter, there ought to be snow on the ground, and this month I got my wish! Because of the snow and ice, @jasonkrieger.bsky.social were home for most of the month. I cross-stitched a lot and (not pictured) played Stardew.

the depressing thing about what's happening and to come is how fucking unnecessary all of it was. no war forced us into this, no massive recession. bunch of bored morons pushed the "break everything" button because of the man on the tv and the people on their phone told them, and people will die.
