This video from earlier today of an internet celebrity known for his atheism was basically a reply to a conservative DRIVING HIS CAR WHILE MAKING HIS VIDEO. Your post reminded me of that.

And the vast majority of mainstream media, INCLUDING most of CNN. That clip is just the few good parts that CNN has left. Just wait. In 4 years, CNN will be just like the rest of mainstream media in trying to venerate Trump's second term.

You can tell they aren't a good person because what kind of person is in favor of taking money away from working class people?

and this is why waymo is a labor issue, not a tech issue! it's going to be taking money out of the pockets of rideshare drivers and putting it solely in the hands of big tech
As a QA person, I would be more comfortable in a Waymo than any other vehicle that promised any sort of autonomy.

They trained on some of the more difficult streets in the nation, and now they are broadening out to see what other factors affect the reliability and safety of their operation.

If the Democrats keep going like they did with the shutdown (with the Senate minority leader behind it all according to one of the "yes" Democrat voters to reopen the government), it will be interesting to see the same number of people voting in the midterms as last time, but I'm still optimistic.

It's amazing how far many of those so-called "leftists" will go to defend genocides whenever it's their favorite country doing it while rightfully condemning others just because the USA is involved in that one. And then they dare to claim to be anti-Trump even though they are both pro-Putin.
November 21, 2025 at 10:59 AM
I remember recently seeing from what I believe was the "Enlightened Centrist" Subreddit was a post making fun of someone else on the internet who said that Uyghurs and 🇵🇸 were both facing genocides and the comments were saying stuff like "🇵🇸 have actual specific documents of who died. Uyghurs don't."

One of my former coworkers killed himself after only working on the assembly line with me for a few months. He was all about how good the "castle doctrine" is and why Minnesota should implement it, as well as his dream of moving to Texas. He was only in his 20s. Needless to say, that argument is bs.

At this point, if both parties campaigned on an end to women's suffrage (which is what this constant capitulation with the far-right from the Democratic Party will inevitably lead to), I fully expect #blueMAGA people like them to criticize women for being against both candidates.
November 20, 2025 at 2:40 PM
I'm repeatedly finding it harder and harder to believe the #blueMAGA's lies that she improved the Democratic Party in any possible way, especially when I read more about her. How so many people can continue to defend her is beyond me.
November 20, 2025 at 6:32 AM
Exactly. So many #blueMAGA people repeatedly love to venerate Nancy Pelosi and act as if she were ever a net good for the Democratic Party as a whole. For most of the stories that I keep on reading about her even decades before, I find it increasingly harder to believe that that's true.
November 20, 2025 at 6:29 AM
That's what I was saying as well. Nancy Pelosi was one of the biggest voices that helped him get elected in the first place and we have to act as if she was ever a net good for the Democratic Party as a whole. She really wasn't.
In Case You’re Wondering, Nancy Pelosi Is Still Supporting the Only Antiabortion House Democrat
Pelosi, whose party is trying to galvanize voters to go to the polls over abortion rights, is still backing Texas Democrat Henry Cuellar.

A reminder that Nancy Pelosi was one of the main reasons why Henry Cuellar got elected in the first place. She knew he was terrible from the very beginning and endorsed him anyway because of "big tent" and all of that.

They have always been terrible, so you are completely in the right to be as horrendous as you want to them:

seven years later and you’re still saying nonsense about Nazi Germany, now that’s impressive

And the fact that Minnesota has the most transgender people living here than in any other state, it will be interesting to see if they have enough resources to ultimately take this to the Minnesota Supreme Court if it unfortunately comes to that.

Report: Minnesota has highest share of adults who identify as transgender in U.S.
The new report from the UCLA School of Law Williams Institute found 1.2 percent of adults in Minnesota identify as transgender.

It's unfortunate, but I can see this becoming a civil rights lawsuit against the DFL that might ultimately make its way to the state Supreme Court. I hope that, if Dex DOES sue the DFL, they provide a funding link if they need money to do it. I would be willing to donate some money if that happens.

So, not even the Rochester Catholic diocese that owns that closed church don't know what's going to happen to that building. They're assuming that it will just remain dilapidated for a while because the designation was denied by the city council.
November 18, 2025 at 2:53 AM
Stuff like that is why I can't stand Winona. Sure there are some decent people, including on the city council, but not enough to make positive change. It's why I can't wait until I have the opportunity to move to either Rochester or Minneapolis.

I keep forgetting that the UK's Green Party is completely different from the US's Green Party. The first is a legitimate party that has actually done some good and the latter is so corrupt and so blatantly run by Putin that the EU Green Party has distanced itself from them.

Minneapolis may have re-elected its right-wing "moderate" mayor, but the city council remains majority progressive, with 5 of the 13 being at least associated with the @twincitiesdsa.org.

It's why I don't get how people can spend hours daily on any social media site, let alone on multiple sites. Like, I get that it's an addiction and try not to judge them for it, but I'm starting to get why many people choose not to have a social media presence at all.
