🧵 So For Women Scotland are back in court, claiming the Supreme Court ruling on the definition of “sex” in the Equality Act means trans-affirming policies in schools & prisons must be torn up and deemed illegal.

Except that’s not what the Supreme Court judgment said.

🧵 Let’s cut through the smoke: Trump rolls out Putin and calls it diplomacy. In reality, it's a quid‑pro‑quo where a foreign invader has been given carte blanche to redraw Ukrainian borders—without the invaded even in the room.

That’s not peace. It’s betrayal wrapped in red carpets.

1/ So here's my simple take on this: It's a bad idea.

Read on for the longer version.

The NPCC wants police to reveal a suspect’s ethnicity & nationality in “most” high-profile cases. They call it transparency. I call it pandering to the far-right and handing them the ammo they crave.

Took a moment to digest the UK ruling. Now, thanks to a push for "biological sex" policies, these “not men” will be walking in to women’s bathrooms.

Of course they could still be Cis Men claiming to be Trans Men 🤷🏻‍♂️

Didn’t think that through, did you?

1) The UK Supreme Court ruling today has sparked confusion, with some incorrectly claiming it validates the view that trans women aren't legally women.

Unfortunately, media headlines may be fueling this misunderstanding, setting the stage for an unnecessary controversy.

Found yet another reason not to vote for @reform-uk-official.bsky.social (not that I ever planned to). Took less than 24 hours to find these. But hey, @reformexposed.bsky.social, maybe don’t share this and let Doncaster see what kind of person he—and ReformUK—really is.

Just got my election booklet for Doncaster Mayor. Reform UK’s section reads like it was written by someone who skimmed Facebook comments and called it research.

So let’s unpack this gaslighting 🐂 💩 together, shall we?

This scene from Designing Women (1988) is as relevant today—if not more so—than it was then.

People like Julia Sugarbaker's opponent are no longer confined to radio or TV; their audience is global, and their platform is unrestricted.

Thirty-seven years later, it feels like we've made no progress.

1/ I urge anyone who sees this to share it.

I'm asking those willing to file a complaint with IPSO about yesterday's Telegraph article, which misrepresented data to the public.

In my next post, I’ll explain why this deserves attention for an egregious (and possibly intentional) breach of accuracy.

1/ Let’s dismantle a harmful right-wing narrative: Mainly the idea that grooming gangs are linked to ethnicity or religions like Islam.

This claim is not only ignorant but also distracts from addressing real systemic issues.

Let’s examine why this rhetoric is both false and damaging.

1/ I’ve been reflecting on the recent politicization of child grooming in the UK and the repeated calls for a NEW national inquiry into the matter—even though the last one concluded in 2022.

So here’s my questions: to what end? What purpose would another inquiry serve?

Let’s break this down.

We CANNOT and SHOULD NOT accept a foreign billionaire attempting to destabilize and remove the duly elected leader of a Western democracy simply because they dislike them.

Reform UK, packed with pro-Brexit voices who championed sovereignty, now caters to those who undermine it. Hypocrisy?

1/ The only upside to Trump seizing Greenland would be seeing how NATO, the UN, and world leaders react to US aggression against a NATO ally.

NATO should demand war. The UN should impose sanctions. But let’s be real—some UK and EU leaders would likely prioritize “diplomacy” over action.
