The EU charters were setup in times of sanity, when it was assumed that member countries act reasonably, are governed by morals and reason. The ability to veto and other decision powers of member countries are in the charters to guarantee each member having a final and equal say.

The EU charters were setup in times of sanity, when it was assumed that member countries act reasonably, are governed by morals and reason. The ability to veto and other decision powers of member countries are in the charters to guarantee each member having a final and equal say.
