I think maybe you have just been lucky. I’ve seen some Christians get REALLY pissed about the secularization of Easter. How dare the non-Christians have Easter egg hunts and Easter bunnies, etc.

I'll add that Trump's entire political strategy is to be seen *defeating* the people and institutions the MAGA base has been trained to hate.
If you fight back and deny him an easy victory, that unsettles his narrative about being an almighty conqueror, which is why he often scurries away.
