Bald Yorkshireman. Bradford City and Yorkshire CCC
Bafflingly dreadful second half.

I've the same concerns about the goalie. Inexplicably slow in coming out for the last 2 goals, his starting position must have been in the car park.

Manager's anger in his post match interview is entirely justified.

You're referring here to Bradford City oc😄

Thrilled you're celebrating Bradford's sporting heritage on your feed this evg.

Bradford's is the only provincial derby played in all 4 levels, tho' City's relegation to D4 in 1961 & Bradford's promotion meant the teams never met in D3 for the full set.

Maybe because they didnt give her a second series after she'd won Eurovision.

Well, that's worth a follow. Thank you, Bugbear.

I'm sure does. I think this lad was with Glenn walking around their old haunts in the BT Sport documentary after he'd had his heart attack.

The last post for:
Inform (be truthful), educate (give knowledge) and entertain (creative, enjoyable content).

What's left now? Philistines & Charlatans.

Your sobriquet is correct.

I've about 50 of these shorts in my planner, the majority produced in thd early 60s, depicting a window in time, when I was born.

They are of their time too, of course. Nonetheless this one on the Hovercraft can be seen alongside another Look at Life on the Channel Tumnel, its ultimate competitor.

This made me fkin cry. I thought that nearly 10 years after that <expletive of your choice> brought us <advisory> referendum, I would get desensitised by any mention of the consequences.

We are missing out every day.

It's never going to get better unless we get back into the EU.

Crikey, i didnt see that coming, especially when you consider his miscellaneous dislike.

Blimey, Joe Royle's choice of Clive Thomas as World Cup Final referee would have been fun.

This the same tournament when he disallowed Zico's late winner as his header was crossing the goal line.

Well if this doesn't cement your achievement of the Magpie appeal, I don't know what will.

The programme is brilliant. Somewhat confusing use of L for the league leaders in the fixtures list until you appreciate it means 'league'.

And the discussion in the lengthy chit chat shows that a 4 pointer was still a thing in Scotland until the mid 90s.

One supporter of The Honest Men was David Murray whose bid to take over the over the club at the end of this championship winning season was rejected by the shareholders of Ayr & its manager, Ally McCleod. No doubt they had a steak at the Stakis to celebrate.
Murray then had some success at Rangers.

I worry more when people use the word 'historic' thinking it means 'in the past' or 'appraise' thinking it means 'inform' or put 'hopefully' at the start of a sentence.
Nonetheless it's nice when 'supersede' is spelt correctly.

Nonetheless is really one word. Was the proofreader paid by the word?

Your younger group members won't be familiar with it, but you'd have had to cover all 8 mins 42 secs of American Pie to list everything he was capable of doing and has actually done

The day the music died

Or more likely

Democracy.

You're right about expectations.

A little under a year ago we were losing hopelessly 1 nil at Fleetwood which left us midtable in Division 4. Soon after we'd be scrambling a grim draw at home to Barrow.

We've lost 8 times in the 45 games since Fleetwood & drawn/lost 4 in 22 at home since Barrow.
