Great write up! Really interesting set up. As for western CT into the Berkshires, an onshore wind component will also aid in some orographic enhancement. That makes the 2-4” totals even more possible, perhaps even likely reaching at least the low end of the scale

Means the opposite lol. For what it’s worth, our average high does climb well into the 60s by the end of the month. So this will not last forever and “below average” could still be milder than now. But a chance at 70 seems unlikely for at least 10 days, if not longer

Yes. Always hesitant to jump on a milder solution this time of year, but the trends (and GFS cave) can’t be ignored either! Seems like there’s little room for error in CT, either warm and beautiful or chilly and gray
