Just really awesome how our financial elite just spent the last several decades admonishing people for pursing the humanities and creative fields, and are now suddenly pedaling the idea that "there are no good ideas anymore" after spending the last 5 years laying off everybody with a brain

This could be called "Suburban Fall", and uses an earlier painting as a starting point underneath. Oil on canvas.

Wanted to do a portrait of sorts, but also to avoid the standard structures if possible. The face is from my imagination, no source. Oil on canvas.

Do not normalize children dying from measles. Measles was previously eliminated in the US, thanks to vaccines.

When children die from measles, it means that adults have catastrophically failed to protect them because they have rejected basic science.

Anyone seen crime drama "Adolescence"? Only four episodes (Netflix), but every one is a just one single take - no stitching, no VFX (except one second in last episode). Just an amazing piece of work. And the boy has apparently not acted before, which is even more amazing.

If the democracies want to avoid collapse and elections like the American one, then make education (school and parental) one of the most important things there is. In a democracy, people have to make decisions. Make teachers as highly paid as doctors.

Interesting. Looked up the average lifespan of democracies, and it appears to be approximately 200 years. The USA? 248 years since 1776. Things on schedule?
