When it comes to cables, there are only two genders.

Male and female.

Found the Setting so I don't see full conversations. But WTF is up with no way to bounce to the top of my timeline? I should hit Bluesky name at top and go to top. I had to scroll back up. Bah. Gone.

Scrolling gets jankier the longer I do it. There is nothing here for me yet. Back to X. At least the app didn't crash. Yet?

Tesla has been making cars heavier and faster while making drivers less attentive for a solid decade now, and at a certain point we have to face the fact that it's giving Americans exactly what they want.
The Cybertruck's design is reckless. Its weight, acceleration, stainless steel panels, and boxy front could worsen the US road safety crisis.

Even so, federal regulators are powerless to halt its launch. That should worry all of us.

I'll be real: I dabbled in some light libertarianism during/after college, and nothing has reaffirmed my core lefty values like closely studying Tesla. It has shown why strong regulation is important, why unions matter, and why important causes like decarbonization can't just be left to the market.

This is a strong article, highlighting a lesser known aspect of the strike if you’re not in the business: these chucklefucks took one of the most consistently profitable business models in American history, the country’s biggest export and tool of soft power, and drove it off a cliff.
"workers are trying to save the American film and television industry from the atrocious business decisions and plans of its owners."
