Half the internet seems to have disappeared tonight. Soundcloud, reddit, various other little sites - all showing server errors. Did someone trip over a cable or pour coffee over an A/S node?

Arrrgh! Bad enough back in the day writing asm for the 68000 - I can't even imagine the complexities of trying to write amd64 code.

Finally cleaned the big dogs nose-shaped smudge (that I wasn't totally aware of) off my spectacles. Turns out, I don't need a new un-blurry phone screen after all. Who knew. 🤓

Surely the sensible solution to this is to charge a small deposit on booking and maybe hold a customers credit card until they settle the bill at the end - like when you start a bar tab in a pub? I certainly wouldn't mind that if it helped the industry
