May I interest you in a dark fantasy take on a detective procedural, a magical serial killer leaves behind a string of corpses and covers his crimes in an impossible shroud of silence.
With a duo of detectives on his tail?

My debut Quietus is now available on Amazon for pre-order!

What is your writing goal for 2025? I want to publish my novel. It's an urban fantasy with noir detective vibes and I love the story. A lot of editing is needed but I will hopefully get it there.

Always read.
If you're a writer, translator, editor, anyone who works in writing, then you should read.

Read novels, short stories, articles, non-fiction, anything. Just read.

All preparation is writing. All editing is writing (as the saying goes: "Writing is rewriting.") When accounting for daily writing time, set yourself a goal of pages edited or pages outlined. The work you do up front and on the back is literally replacing the work from some other phase of writing.
Do you count editing / planning / polishing in the daily writing goal? Sometimes I don’t feel I have a great grasp on what’s next, so working on polishing what I’ve already written helps me get a handle on the bigger picture and improves the work I’ve done, but isn’t “new writing”

the two moods of a writer:

1. oh no, nobody is reading my writing
2. oh no, people are reading my writing

A microstory in 50 words:

I miss your touch, the rays that brought me to life. For eons, you were the star of my existence.
Now, without your warmth, I’m just a rock circling around your corpse in the vast emptiness—frozen a thousand times over.
I miss your light, my Sun—why did you stop burning?
