ICYMI: Marfrig, the world’s 2nd-largest beef producer, will become the first major beef company to disclose its Scope 3 methane emissions. The company also announced a methane reduction target that, if achieved, would be the equivalent of taking 1.17 million gas-powered cars off the road for a year.

You count many things when looking at food to eat. But do you count #methane? Methane (CH₄) is 80× more powerful than CO₂ in the short term — and livestock (beef, dairy, cheese) is one of its biggest sources.
