🇨🇦 I like to talk about my hobbies and share with everyone my love of comics, manga, and anime.

And so ends 2024. As we head into 2025, here is a look at how I start the new year with my main manga wall and collection. Currently hit more than 3000+ total volumes of manga and comics/graphic novels. Here's to more reading in 2025 🥂
I will be moving to my new home in the new year after 5 years. With it, comes the opportunity to redesign and furnish a new workspace and room for my hobbies, such as reading manga and comics. Currently, I am experimenting with the layout. Liking the idea of putting my desk in the command position

@gunplacentral.bsky.social is there any ways we can manually add PLA on the website? Noticing its missing some models, like the Hello Kitty & RX-78-2, Bandai Spirits SD-EX Standard Model Kit

I was not prepared for the first episode Takopi's Original Sin. Absolutely gutted by the entire episode.

Pre-algorithm curation was the best. I feel like content had more time to be digested, refined, and criticized. Today, it feels like all content is just noise that is an amalgamation. The same colors, same style, same everything, elevated by a curation machine that isn't a person.

So because X is a shitshow, I feel like its better for me to share more in-depth animanga content here. But my engagement absolutely sucks on BSKY. Would anyone even want to see that kind of stuff?

Coming to the conclusion that *SOME* physical media is great to keep. I feel like the pendulum swings with how I view this, but recently I've been offloading a bunch of dvds and books that just collected dust and I never read/watch any of them. I support physical media and support curation.

Halfway through the year. Got more volumes, got rid of some. New shelfies on the way

I do enjoy using BSKY from time to time, but as @slimefancypants.bsky.social pointed out, this place does get really whiny and preachy. Maybe I haven't curated my feed to my liking?

Here's the thing about Nintendo's digital strategy:
1. Sell digital at $80
2. More physical sales will occur over digital
3. Show to investors that physical is the way to go because digital went bust
4. Keep making the same generic crap and kneecap a digital ecosystem
5. Profit.

Honestly kind of amazed that Sony fumbled the bag with the spiritual successor to Bloodborne. But then a again, I'm not surprised?

I've been boycotting American products and buying Canadian or alternatives where possible ever since America's Nazi president took office. With continuous jabs at our sovereignty, it was a no-brainer to say no to American goods. And yes, this includes my hobbies such as manga.

I mean, does the GT 1660 Super struggle with newer games? Absolutely. But its not an immediate problem I need to fix. I'm able to play FF7 Rebirth at 60fps and on medium settings on it. What more can I ask for?

With all of the recent GPU drama, I'm still kind of kicking myself for not getting a 4080 super during black friday. But upon reflection, I'm kind of glad I didn't drop close to $1600 for a GPU. I still have so many games on my backlog to complete. And my trust GTX 1660 S card is doing just fine

You know, for the longest time I was really dismissive of Isekai or fantasy manga. While there is definitely a lot of trash that you have to filter through, some series have incredible worldbuilding that you just cannot find anywhere else.

Daily Dragon Ball, episode 126 part 2. With Shenron revived, the Dragon Balls reawaken, so Bulma and the gang pop out Krillin, Roshi, and Chiaotzu’s cryo pods and wish them and everyone else killed by Piccolo back to life. Woohoo! Death is meaningless!
