Maybe you call me a "communist", a "marxist", or a "socialist". But, I call myself auto-egalitarian, because the means of production is being automated, and there's more than enough to provide for everyone.

As of today there are 8.23 BILLION human beings alive while a little over 3,000 billionaires exploit the rest of the species.

I'm not the best at math, but I think the majority will have the real upper hand here if we stop playing by their rules.

Historically Democrats have been held to a higher standard than Republicans by their respective constituencies.

There is a high probability this is exactly what biased media and the right are expecting to capitalize on in the wake of the release of the Epstein files.

IMO "Representatives" should live off of the economic floor they establish for their constituents. Especially considering automation displacing human labor from the workforce en masse over the next few decades.
Representatives shouldn't enjoy any health care benefits until every American has basic health care.

*Imagining a timeline where Trump takes policy direction from Zohran Mamdani and distances himself from The Heritage Foundation/P2025 crowd*

I think the weirdest thing about that interaction is how "presidential" Trump seemed to be for the first time in that moment...

he's still a criminal tho.

Someone needs to be keeping tabs on their bank accounts and personal holdings over the next couple of years.

I put this together because it's critically timely and I recommend taking a look. Hover over a county for closure risk, uninsured, poverty, and rural classification.

In short, if they really do murder health care, Texas and Georga and Mississipi are f**ked. it's basically the list you'd expect.
Healthcare Deserts: The Coming Crisis
180+ rural hospitals closed since 2010. Proposed Medicaid cuts could close 300 more. Interactive county-by-county risk analysis.

It's good that people are putting in the work necessary to understand and pave the way for UBI/UBS despite the current political motivation to vilify, defund, and remove any social welfare programs.

Soon we will all be facing the reality that automation without an economic floor is insanity.
Fascinating new study here that suggests even an extremely high universal basic income would not have the labor supply impacts that UBI skeptics fear. It suggests that a ~$15,000/mo UBI might only reduce employment by 10% with no impact on those who remain employed.

"The arsenal of freedom" for whom???

So far this arsenal has been weaponized to remove the freedoms of minorities, women, and anyone expressing an opinion you don't like, oftentimes in direct violation of their rights.

The hague is calling.
Hegseth: "We must wage an all-out campaign to streamline the Pentagon's process, to unshackle our people from unproductive work and to shift our resources from the bureaucracy to the battlefield. Our objection is simple: transform the entire acquisition system to operate on a wartime footing."

Remember when politicians used to uphold their oath of office with honor and dignity???

Yeah, me either. We are just more aware of the abuses now, and we need to put true limitations on their power in place.

Maybe we start by matching their salaries to the economic floor provided by their policy.

Just a reminder as everyone is considering the sudden increases in health insurance premiums:

Single payer healthcare would result in higher taxes, but those tax increases would be much less than what the majority of us are seeing in our premiums, meaning our take home pay would increase.

With the current momentum, @schumer.senate.gov and @hakeem-jeffries.bsky.social need to get the DNC on the same page as the people or start checking their alibis. For far too long the US government has been an extension of the power of private capital and the IDF instead of the will of the people.

We NEED publicly owned and localized automated systems to provide food, clothing, shelter, energy, and access to information for everyone.

Because we can't rely on a distant federal government run by oligarchs who don't understand the cost of living.

Just so we're all on the same page...

An "anonymous friend" of the Groyper(evil fascist right wing trolls) who is the main suspect in the murder of Charlie Kirk says that "they were a leftist" despite being a part of an online community that is evil bigoted right wing christo-fascist trolls.

Well look at that...
There is a non-zero probability that Charlie Kirk was killed by a 2A enthusiast over Charlie Kirk's stance on taking away the right to bear arms from trans people.

The shooter in this hypothetical might not even be trans or an ally, but simply viewed the rhetoric as a gateway to eroding 2A.

I'll call a nazi a nazi. I'll call a fascist a fascist. I'll call a grifter a grifter.

"Facts don't care about your feelings"

When Trump blames the "radical left's rhetoric" for the death of a fascist nazi grifter, I'll call that what it is: using the anger he has incited to justify further harm.

Daily reminder that the wealthy can get away with rape and multiple felony convictions, but common people will get the book thrown at them from throwing a sandwich at a federal officer. Our justice system is dual tiered. There is no equality in the eyes of the law.
The man charged for throwing a sandwich at a federal officer was a DOJ employee.

“This is an example of the Deep State we have been up against for seven months as we work to refocus DOJ,” Pam Bondi wrote on X.

The Democratic party should be aware of one thing:
If it falls on the shoulders of We the People to fight our way out of this mess, we will find them to be incompetent and culpable.
I know the Democratic Party must unite to be at all effective.

I cannot unite the party. It’s up to them.

I know the PEOPLE must unite to overthrow tyranny.

I can be a part of a movement. It’s up to US.
