Stunned to learn this news. Udo Kier’s filmography is undeniable, but his place as an out, queer figure in genre was, in a word, crucial. Uniquely eccentric and truly monolithic. Absolutely one of a kind.
Udo Kier has passed away at 81. A singular screen presence, Kier had a long history in the horror genre, starring in films including Mark of the Devil, Andy Warhol's Frankenstein, Blood for Dracula, Blade, Feardotcom, Rob Zombie's Halloween, and Dario Argento's Mother of Tears.

Summer 2026 marks 30 years of Peaches Christ in San Francisco (!) and I’m toying with a celebration. Don’t know- maybe a party, a show, a retrospective, something big and filthy and fabulous. What would you want to see? Tell me your wildest ideas as I start plotting this anniversary insanity.

Today is Jamie Lee Curtis' birthday, which also happens to be the "holiday" that kick-starts the events of the 1981 horror-comedy STUDENT BODIES. Slasher movies, there's one for every occasion!

What a great time for me to remind everyone about a favorite movie of mine: 1988's BLADES, which serves as a parody of JAWS, but rather than a shark in the water...it's a sentient lawnmower on a golf course. It's absurd and gets strangely cinematic at the end. I remain a loud champion of this film.

As a judge, I wasn't there to see the final elimination so Darren and I didn't know what happened until watching the show last night and I'm not even sure how to react without creating a spoiler so all I'll say is... what did you think?
