Helped my parents pick out a new TV and the model they ended up going with (some cheap TCL Fire TV from Costco) had poor reviews mainly because its software is crap.
So I took a gamble and decided to see how annoying it would be if I made it be a dumb TV and never got it online and... seems fine?
