I went to the same school as Jeanty (tho I’m much older), in Naples, & played in Carney Park which is a rec area for U.S. families.

Always thought it was weird people went tho when you live by the Amalfi coast.

Late to it & I’m sure others are saying the same but so much love for Iceman and Madmartigan and I know people now pretend they didn’t watch Entourage but his appearance on there was WILD.

Some of the shit Val Kilmer was doing in Top Gun for reasons I’m still not sure of are legendary.

Richard Chamberlain passed away. He was the star of one of my first favorite tv shows 📺 in Shogun and apparently he and some of the cast visited my grandfather’s family china shop and was very nice and bought many things.

I wonder if he still has the pieces lol.

RIP, love both Shogun shows. 📽️

Everytime I watch 48 Hours it just cements itself even more in my top 10 fave movies. 📽️

That entire Eddie Murphy era is gold but I just have special love for this one.

Also Ganz remains one of the great villain names of all time,

More landscape photography from wandering around Japan.

I’ve never been what I’d call a train enthusiast (except Astrotrain, he rules and oh yah InfinityTrain! but hey I got to admit trains and bridges and railroads just look rad in picks.

ICYMI I'm working on a sequel to All the Birds in the Sky.

There's a Kickstarter to support me writing this sequel, which includes a hefty sneak peek of it.

The Kickstarter is called "pre-order my upcoming novel Lessons in Magic and Disaster."

Listening to latest @11oc.bsky.social ep matching comic creators w/ def. runs.

I’m a Planetary guy, one of my faves. I’m not sure if Ellis was predictive, rather I think he was just a dork who read a lot of science articles on the early internet & a lot of science fiction novels.

This was excellent. Just a quality, well made, well directed Netflix show.
Netflix added a Japanese show (had option for English dubs) called Asura. 7 episodes, takes place in the ‘70s, & what’s cool about it is it’s directed/written by Hirokazu Kore-eda, who directed some joints before including the 📽️ I think most westerners would know, Shoplifters, from 2018.

Doggo hanging in the yard.

When I take pics of my dogs it might reveal a bit too much about me. Yah I got random statues of cherub-like beings peeing in my yard I guess.

Weird tho I keep all my cool statues and comics in an offsite storage facility lol. I should have Thanos out here.

Epilogue -

There were 2 books that I got really early by being recommended them by other authors when I interviewed them that got me excited back in my youth talking about 📚 on the internet. One was The Lies of a Locke Lamora by Scott Lynch, the other was Vellum by Hal Duncan

Weird seeing YouTube channels that used to cover silly entertainment become rightwing grifter content.

I like $, I’m a fan, I’ve had shit jobs & good jobs that I didn’t enjoy but I’ve never sold out, maybe due to lack of opportunity to do so… idk. As pragmatic as I can be, character matters.

Finished the Lethem. Next is a reread of some Charlie Huston. I’m not much into vampire fiction nor am I too into what I call junk supernatural but I do like these Joe Pitt Casebooks which are tough guy/bad day books ala a lot of crime fiction or like Richard Kadrey did w/ Sandman Slim.
