Urban romantic. Maker of moments and meaning. Tenor, pianist, AI tinkerer. Obsessed with form, memory, and the magic of place—from Ravel to Renoir, street grids to sacred music. Always exploring, occasionally snarky, mostly becoming.

I grew up learning by doing—and noticing.
This space is for design, memory, music, AI, cities, and the sacred.
Sometimes thoughtful, sometimes snarky (usually about dinner or film), always curious.
Ritual, rhythm, beauty, and real talk welcome.
Let’s build a better way to be online—together.
Sooo cool. Still $1.99 a slice.

macOS icons have been eccentric for decades. Myles and Jason rip the new ones apart! Wow guys!
My takeaway: I forgot about the color picker eye dropper thingy, thanks, guys.

And love the nostalgia for “Finder”.
@snell.zone : remember “Chooser”?! 🤗

Apple Music app inside ChatGPT does not work inside a Project where I scaffolded an export of my Library and docs about my preferences, only as a root convo.
But I could still add the files to a new convo. Some of these AI-created playlists are quite good!
I think the main issue with Apps in ChatGPT is that if you use a Thinking model, an app's widget gets loaded multiple times until it reaches its goal.

This is confusing. Like here's what happened when I asked to create a playlist (which it did in the end). The intermediate steps should be invisible

Where to share the vibe-coded automations and prompts we create?
Thinking about info-mac archive, a listserv/ftp-mirror distro for shareware I worked on in the ‘90s. Let’s do it again.

Inline native task objects. I haven’t been this excited about the use case since Liase’s Outlook plugin.
Introducing contextualized task management! When you create a task within an existing object, that object will become the context for the task.

A task tab will be created in that object, where you can process related tasks. This way, you only see tasks in context; when and where you need them. ✨

This "process" is going to end with Trump being awarded the 2025 Netflix Peace Prize
President Trump says Netflix's planned acquisition of WBD will have "to go through a process", as it would create an entity with "a lot of market share" (Bloomberg)

The orange felon insults yet another female reporter by calling CNN’s Kaitlan Collins “stupid and nasty” after she inquired about the price of his trashy dictator ballroom after it increased by another $100M.

How to buy yourself a needy malignant narcissist? Just offer him a phony, made up "Peace Prize" & he's all your's!!!
No need for a formal ceremony as he'll snatch from the box & put it on all by himself. Both laughably pathetic AND pathetically laughable. 🤡 🫣

iPadOS: four-finger sideways swipe switches between stages!

It feels weird to find simple pleasure in a surprising Apple iPadOS design feature. But on my Magic Keyboard, I can swipe sideways with four fingers to switch between stages, just like I can switch desktops on macOS. Woo hoo!

I was once asked why I don't participate in anti-war demonstrations. I said that I will never do that, but as soon as you have a pro-peace rally, I'll be there. -Mother Teresa

VisionOS had me disappointed that we’d just figured out a way to put new depthless and opaque app window screens in my view. “I wish I could see through them,” I thought. So went the Feedback back then. LOOK WHAT APPLE DID!

BREAKING THROUGH INDECISION
When fear and indecision creep in, remember: the way through is action. Surrender to the flow of the Universe, trust, and move forward—any step breaks the hold of ego. The path clears when you simply do.

has it already been a year since @caseynewton.bsky.social pointed the way to @capacities.bsky.social ?! but Casey missed (so far) the powerful integrations available through MCPs and Webhooks, i.e. tell your companion to "create a github issue for this" and many more. WE ARE CLOSE!

Here’s to hoping this iOS 26 dev beta 4 stops crunching my battery charging capacity! Lost between 3-5% so far this beta season charging to 80%. Ah the price paid to be at the bleeding edge!

Paid off well because I got to see the first Liquid Glass, and it was Soooooo beautiful! Frosted Glass, meh!
