Re-upping my piece from the other day, on the perils the U.S. is running by overlooking, underestimating, and sidelining the Ukrainians—hardly the first time the U.S. has done this, and hardly the first time it's ended in failure.

DOGE recommended firing workers at:

-FAA, which oversees SpaceX

-USAID, which probed Starlink

-CFPB, which oversees Tesla's financing arm and a potential payment platform on X.

"Conflict of interest" is a severe understatement.

MUST READ: "Griffin isn’t alleging that a single fraudulent vote was cast, and he’s not claiming any irregularities with the final vote count. He’s simply trying to change the rules after an election, so that he gets more votes." - Billy Corriher www.democracydocket.com/opinion/like...

Claim 2: False, because “malicious prosecution” is a thing courts remedy.

Claim 3: Yes, but judges decide what’s “legitimate” and limit executive action all the time.

Watch this space carefully.

First came the collapse of Karabakh, and the end of Russia's military presence in the region. Then came the fall of Assad, and the scuttling of Russian interests in Syria.

With Putin manically obsessed with Ukraine, the only question is: which domino will fall next? Georgia? Transnistria? Belarus?

It's early days yet, but one by one, Russia's foreign policy priorities outside of Ukraine are beginning to degrade, and even collapse. The dominoes are beginning to fall—and they won't stop tumbling anytime soon.

The SCOTUS immunity ruling protects presidents from ever being prosecuted criminally for certain kinds of official acts, but it doesn’t transmute any category of unconstitutional executive orders into constitutional ones. So the birthright citizenship EO isn’t shielded from judicial invalidation.
For constitutional experts like @tribelaw.bsky.social @weissmann11.bsky.social and @nealkatyal.bsky.social :
Are Executive Orders, especially canceling birthright citizenship, protected by the SCOTUS immunity ruling?

Notice how it’s always women who stand up to DJT! What’s wrong with the men? Not a single Republican Senator is speaking out….? And the 3 Broligarchs all in on Masculine Energy in the workplace?

"A democracy cannot function properly under threats of violence, where any dissent comes with the risk of physical retaliation. That describes Russia, and not America as we have known it." But with another Trump presidency looming, it seems as though we are slipping closer to authoritarianism.
