We could have had Kamala Harris. Instead, we have the most immature, petulant, stupid, needy, incompetent dipshit to ever enter American politics.

What a tragically stupid country we are.

The God of the Woods by Liz Moore was a 4.75 ⭐️ read, and my first for February. It is not a fast-paced popcorn thriller. Prepare yourself for timeline shifts and multi-POV. However, Liz Moore pulls it off so well. Highly recommend!
Is this on your TBR?

Heard about stores locking up their #benandjerrys but I’m happy to report that #GiantEagle was not one of them. Happy to indulge for a good cause. #chubbyhubby

The Husbands by Holly Gramazio—4.5 🌟

I’ve seen mixed reviews, but I thought it was extremely clever and kept me guessing the entire time.

It reads as a speculative fiction to me, rather than a rom-com.

It’s a recommend from me. Who’s read it? Share your thoughts.

I’m in the process of building my banned book library in physical form because I don’t trust that my digital media won’t be taken away in the future. But there’s never enough books, so drop your favorite recommendations! 💙📚 #booksky #bannedbooks

I’m rereading The Great Gatsby, and I’m happy to see that even in 1920s literature, “rich white football player” was synonymous for “huge piece of shit”

Libraries feel like something about which we could very easily be saying, “Remember that place where you could borrow books, for FREE, and return them when you were finished?” And kids would say “What?? No way!” And yet there they still are, despite everything we’ve become, existing. Remarkable.

So true.
I open my Bluesky feed and it is full of really cool people saying really smart things and being really passionate about really interesting stuff.

I like this version of social media, and the world.

Thanks, folks.

I think adults should get a personal pan pizza for reading books too

Yes, libraries are invaluable for their collections and public services they offer, but also social contact without the expectation to interact with anyone or spend any money is so important to so many people
