Looking at the way autocracy and populism is growing in the US and other places to me is is quite reasonable to want reassurance that cameras and id cards would not make it easier for a government to drastically restrict our freedoms. Facial id is in the potential mix also as is AI.

It is the height of irresponsibility to trust an unstable, autocratic regime like the US with any serious part of our defence.

On issues like housing and rising inequality both parties are bad. They are not as bad as each other but both are pretty bad.
