The local Albany Asylum Seekers Action Group. This week we were visited by a Hazara family from Mt Barker who came over to say thanks for our efforts, and how important it is for asylum seekers and refugees to know there are people who stand in support of their bid for a normal settled life.

A Wettish and a Windy day for the refugee solidarity people in Albany Western Australia and we were pushed from our usual spot in front of the old town hall by its use as a polling place. Nonetheless a good day, busy traffic and good support. Australia's shameful treatment of refugees must stop.
