If George Harrison had sequenced All Things Must Pass as 3 single LPs with songs mixed in with jams and released them every 8 months or so beginning in 1970 it would stand above what most of his peers released in that time and we would talk about him in the same regard as 1970’s Paul or Bob Dylan.

Years ago I worked at a small manufacturing company. We had a shared hard drive with different folders for the departments. For some reason the quality folder was called “Quality 2010”. Everyone had a shortcut to it on their desktop.

Listening to Garcia after reading this, got me thinking about solo debuts from members of established bands. Like, this is what they’ve been bringing to the table, this is what they sound like minus everyone else. McCartney 1970 for sure. Paul Simon 1972. Probably not Imagine, or Plastic Ono Band 1/
