The worst part of having a toddler is that the kid isn’t even awake, yet I’m still singing those dumb kid songs that were basically on repeat all day.

I have a handful of video games that I'm currently playing and very happy with. I have a handful of games in my library that are in waiting, that I'm looking forward to playing when I have the time to get to them. I'm not wanting for new games! Yet I still check for sales and deals nearly every day.

I don't know if it's the same in your parts of the world, but around me other drivers seem to be allergic to the turn signals even more than usual these days...

When I need to delete games from my hard drive, it has to be games that are not 100+ GB because who wants to download that again, but it also can’t be the 5 GB or less games because that barely has an impact.

Every major Steam sale there are dozens of games on my wishlist that in theory I want to play. But as I get older I'm just like "Do I really have the time/energy/patience for this game?" I then buy like 4 or 5 games, install 2 or 3 of them, and only play one of those...

Shmups are a strange video game genre. On one hand, they are incredibly addictive for the right kind of person. On the other hand, they are incredibly pointless and I constantly ask myself, "Why am I playing this?" But then I keep playing because they are fun.

All media seems to suck if you stick with the mainstream. Music, movies, video games, books, even TV. There's a lot of shit out there.
The cool thing about getting older is that you stop caring about trends. You know what you you like, and you lean into that. That's where the good stuff is.

It’s funny how everyone has all these takes on why Harris lost but for some reason nobody thought to share these thoughts with the campaign or even the public until after Harris lost. Except maybe Bernie.

Sometimes late at night when I’ve been imbibing, I like to play racing games (Wreckfest!) At some point, I find that I’ve fallen asleep mid race and my car has crashed off track somewhere. That is usually my reminder to go to bed, and as a reminder of why I don’t attempt this IRL.

I'm pretty sure King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard is greatest band in the world right now. I think what makes them so special is that they seem like they just want to make music together, and it just so happens others want to listen to them.

I’m a dad to a 2 year old girl, and we have this routine of turning off the light and singing songs in the dark before bed. Lately, I’ve been finding myself falling asleep literally mid-song! How do I fall asleep easier than she does when I’m the one actively singing?!

I haven't checked out CyberPunk 2077 or Elden Ring because "I don't have time for a game that big."
But somehow I always have time for a roguelike; I have no problem grinding out ranks in fighting games. I put ~25 hours into a shmup this year! The time is there, I just want to play other games...

Just joined bsky, I was never on the “other” platform, but I always felt I would have liked it if I actually tried it out. Kinda cool to be joining this when it’s still so new. I hope to use this space to talk about things that I enjoy, and not get dragged into negativity.
