Before taking a nutrition post seriously, I would first look for any credible evidence backing up what is being stated in the post. And for thanksgiving I am looking foward to my sweet potato casserol and baked Pernil (pork shoulder)but the casserol is my favorite part. @beh353.bsky.social #beh353

This quote posts reminds me of how Tom spoke of the discpline in the little steps rather than being perfect. Rather than doing a bunch of things and doing them half way I would rather do much less but to the best of my ability. @beh353.bsky.social #beh353

Toms story highlighted a key point to me as someone who is prioritizing her health .Not only did he show me that its the little victories that count when being healthier but that often times the biggest obstacle is within our own expectations of wanting perfection. @beh353.bsky.social #beh353

Learning that fat shaming leads to shame, depression, overeating and sometimes body dysmorphia or things such as not eating at all. This deeply impacted me because many people battle this and it often stems from something early on in their childhood @beh353.bsky.social #beh353

This is an example of a some snacks that I feel like I would have to make before hand and meal prep. And thats the part that sucks because these are snacks that are nutritious yet take time to prep and I believe thats why many resort to junk food snacks because its quicker and less work to prep.
November 3, 2025 at 3:36 AM
One barrier that I can relate to is the lack of time one. I find myself always struggling when I'm trying to meal prep because I am always occupied whether it be with school, work or personal things. So I end up eating out or over snacking on junk food from my pantry. @beh353.bsky.social #beh353

This could be a good way to get the suppliments and extra vitamins that we may need. Not only is it soothing for the throat a person could add many things to their tea's to make it healthier such as honey, vitamin C with orange squeeze or adding herbs that will help with other health things. #beh353

This picture reminds me of the Keto Diet because iy completely cuts out Carbs which to many seems to be the mean cause of weight gain. Even though now I am aware that Carbs are actually important in our diets. @beh353.bsky.social #beh353

After going over our class content and research the FAD Diet that stood out to me was the Dash Diet which cuts out processed foods and foods high in sugar.I chose this because I believe this is the original diet humans were intended to have without processed goods or junk.@beh353.bsky.social #beh353

This reminds me of the content of our lessons because it highlights how making more nutrient dense decisions with our eating will help us when it comes to eating the right amount of food and not over eating. This also shows us how Vital it is to cut out bad snacking and instead chose fruit and water

I typically eat Avocado toast, over easy eggs when I can not so thinly cut steak with coffee at least twice a week and I think to add some nutrient density I could add chia seeds on the avocado spread, whole wheat bread, squeeze on lemon juice, spinach, and egg whites. @beh353.bsky.social#beh353

In the last 24hrs I had eggs with avocado, 3 apple sauces and noodles with no broth. It's pretty accurate seeing that I barely ate due to the fact that I had Oral surgery and can eat limited foods due to pain and to help the healing. Having such eating restrictions was hard@beh353.bsky.social #beh353

This post stood out to me because this shoes how just lacking certain nutrients whether they are Macronutrients or Micronutrients it cause our body to crave other things such as sugar. Highlighting to us the importance of a balanced diet. While also showing us that our emotional health plays a role.

I myself believed the negative connotation that carbs are bad. So i was shocked I when I found out that without them we wouldn't be able to give our brain "food“ like glucose which is important because its the only molecule that passes through the blood brain barrier. @beh353.bsky.social #beh353

This causes me to think back to the class content and ask myself who is the author behind this post and can I take this post seriously? Although it seems to be stating the benefits of sleeping before 10pm further research should be done to verify whether the author of the post is a credible source.

I noticed is how important it is to ask ourselves whether the person is reporting like a journalist or a scientist. This is key to understanding whether the articles study is credible or not. Based on whether or not the reporter is educated in the concept of the study. @beh353.bsky.social #beh353
