Rodney came to the US when he was just two years old.

The Shriners brought him over from Liberia to get much needed medical attention.

He owns a barber shop in Atlanta and is a beloved member of his community.

When ICE grabbed him, he was days away from getting new prosthetic legs:
Help Rodney Taylor, a Disabled Double Amputee Being Held by ICE
Rodney has been in the country more than 40 years. He's in solitary confinement in Georgia, being denied disability accommodations and having his medical needs ignored. He must be released.

For years now, conservatives and liberals alike in this country have been having an aneurysm about completely imaginary leftists with “blue hair” while ignoring actual fucking fascists standing right in front of their faces. Every day those people sound more pathetic, idiotic, and delusional.

”white supremacist book purge” is exactly right. it goes along with the segregationist purge of the service academies.

Exactly. I was working class until employer after employer essentially forced me to quit instead of making work accessible. SSDI was my only option.
Btw, screw this “working people” BS.

Disabled people dependant on social security are 100% working class people. We are part of the same class and we experience the same oppressions as call centre workers, service workers, manual workers and care workers.

As predicted, women in New Hampshire had a hard time voting yesterday because of the new proof of citizenship law:

“It doesn’t have my married name on it,” she said. Town voting officials then sent her away a second time, to get her marriage certificate.

NH’s new ID requirements send some would-be voters home to grab passports, birth certificates
The law requires all new voters to show proof of their U.S. citizenship. For some, that meant making multiple trips to and from the polls before finally casting a ballot on Tuesday.

Gentle reminder that many disabled people can’t always shop local, especially if housebound. We’re dependent on delivery & sometimes left with big chains as only option.

If you can, help someone get what they need from a great local minority owned business!

Community will save us in the end.
