It was reprehensible when people mocked condom usage at the height of the AIDS pandemic.
It is just as depraved to mock those wearing masks to reduce the spread of airborne viruses today.
Whenever someone takes any kind of step to protect public health, they should be applauded, not mocked.

I’m tired of struggling to survive. I just turned 59 and three days before my birthday, hubby was told he had about 2 months to find a job. In one week I went from working 37 hrs/wk, asking to drop to 32, to now asking for 40. Lucky my boss likes me and my work ethic.

Why is nobody talking about this story. 1,403 employees and their families are learning about their layoff a week before Thanksgiving. Hundred of customers with mobility issues, immunocompromised and/or elderly are losing a cost effective resource. Why aren’t we talking about this???

Mikayla Raines passed away by her own hand this week. I’m sick to learn it was partially due to online bullying. We need to chat about the impact of bullying on our mental health. I’m not a medical expert but I went through this and I think I have some insight. Will post the link tonight.

I just read a post where someone was defending a war by using religion. The irony is that too many of these people push back (rightfully) when certain countries use religion to proclaim a holy war. If it’s wrong for them to do it, it’s wrong for everyone to do it.

I have always considered myself an artist. I’m also very much a Scorpio, which means I have a flare for the dramatic. What if instead of chasing that one viral video that will solve my financial woes, I concentrate on creating what I consider an art piece, while doing commentary?

One of my happy places: my notebook corner, where I keep all my drawing notebooks and my writing notebooks. It is the only spot in the apartment that is absolutely ready.
