A couple deep-sea amphipods in the genus Phronima, and the barrel-shaped home for one of them, for #invertefest. These are from the northern Gulf of Mexico. #DeepSeaBenefits

We explored Hawaiian mesophotic reefs with tech diving and eDNA and found strong depth-based biodiversity zonation, with community breaks at ~45–60 m across the tree of life.
