Reading wrap up for January! I finished 8 books total, 2 books more than my goal for the month. I mostly listened to audio books but that's okay, I still finished a book and enjoyed them do thats all that matters

🧵/ Putting aside the fact that we cannot achieve racial, economic, and gender justice without disability justice and inclusion, disabled authors should be on that list.

I KNOW we're writing brilliant stories with disabled characters. So where the hell are they!?

For anyone who is or was on booktok, I am no longer on the app. Since the purchase of the app by Oracle I no longer feel its the best choice for me. I was @hairtiesandpageturners on TikTok. So if you followed me, this is where I will be posting content now

I feel I've made some growth already, even at only 20 days into the new year. Most of my reads have been audio books, where I usually prefer physical or ebooks. I call that progress.

books are books even if on phone
Gaming doesn’t count as screen time. Gaming is books. Unless it’s on your phone - that is screen time. Movies are books unless they are Marvel, who produce screen time. Television is screen time.

Of course you need to reread early books in a series as you write later ones. You don't want to unintentionally repeat yourself, you want to keep consistent with names, dates, relationships, things readers may catch, & something that happened can become a "loose thread" to build a new plot line on.

Just this month, I've read 5 books so far. On track for my reading goal of the year. I am so excited for the (hopeful) shortening of my tbr. Reviews for the 5 books I've read coming soon.
