help i am trapped in computer - aggressively okay at tetris, rhythm games, total weeb trash
I dunno, I would just assume that's been the default for the past few years, even on planes

They can enjoy getting "mysteriously" sick after sitting in the petri-dish tube for a few hours, I'll pass on that and keep my n95 on

"this doesn't annoy me!!!" I shout into the void, clearly annoyed.

WordPress is definitely viable, it's been around for a long time and still actively maintained and developed.

Its popularity also means there's a bunch of hosting options where they'll just spin up a WordPress instance for you and they do all the server management, leaving you to manage the site.

Domains are transferrable, so if you don't want to keep it on Squarespace, you can move it elsewhere, instead of just pointing it to the new host. There will be a cost to transfer it, though (no way around it, I think it's an ICANN thing) but typically it will extend the renewal date by a year.

Bit late, but due to platform enshittification, there's a lot of advantages to rolling your own.

It really depends on what you're comfortable with, how complicated you're willing to get, what features you want, and of course, how much you're willing to spend.
