if you've been watching the community defenses against ICE and thinking, "i support my comrades but i don't feel comfortable being on the ~front lines~" please know there are many other ways to support! you can drop off a case of water and snacks, buy medical supplies, donate to jail support, etc

New from me: Cambodia has descended deeper into authoritarian rule. Journalists jailed; critics killed; media outlets shuttered.

The world's biggest athletic apparel co said it was concerned. But its factory employment increased there anyway.

Today, it's Nike's third largest source of clothing.
Nike Repeatedly Raised Concerns About Repression in Cambodia. It Expanded Its Factory Workforce There Anyway.
Nike’s continued growth in Cambodia underscores the level of political and labor repression the company has been willing to tolerate in countries that provide inexpensive labor.

If you stole over $120 billion from the government and overprescribed opioids to 237,713 people leading to 109,000 overdoses, you'd be in prison.

But when health insurance companies do it, their executives get bonuses.

Pass universal healthcare and lock up more CEOs.

Lost in some of the outrage over this is that Trump's pick is LITERALLY unqualified. The law says a Chairman has to have been a vice chair, a service chief or held a combatant command. Caine hasn't done any of those and I don't think he was even the senior service general at a combatant command.

who are these men, by what right and authority do they purport to be manhandling and abducting this woman, and why does nobody there physically stand up to them and help defend her?
