Kicked off our second Daggerheart campaign last night! Group decided to go with the beta Drakkenheim frame that recently went up - none of us are familiar with its previous 5e incarnations, but the frame is easily the equal of (or better than) the frames in the core rulebook.

What else have I been up to? Let's see. Wrapping (probably) on an open-table dungeon crawl (DCC) I've been running Mondays for the rpg society locally. It didn't quite get off the ground the way I wanted it to, and with taking on the Daggerheart game as GM, I gotta put a hat down.

Great post with some great links & recs! Also made me pause and think - even outside metroidvanias, there are loads of megadungeon video games. One that VERY strongly comes to mind is the stellar Darkest Dungeon. Which shouldn't be a surprise, based on the name, lol.

My local con is young and small, run over a weekend out of a single hotel ballroom. I went for the first time last year, and it was a great time - and really gave me the encouragement to seek out more in-person play, that has led to a weekly home group & a semi-weekly public/FLGS group!

This is absolutely a big part of things for Canadians. There are ethical/moral objections fuelling the boycotts, but the travel boycott is so strong and lasting because many Canadians do not feel that the US is a safe country for travel. I wouldn’t even stop over in the US on a flight right now.
The one thing I really noticed in this piece was that in all of the talk about Canadians not wanting to head to the US, not once was the threat of immigration detention or extradition to El Salvador mentioned. The whole of Canada read the story of the Jasmine Mooney in ICE detention and said "Nope."
