I've been debating if I want to train for a 10k next. Decided to slow my pace to see how far I can go right now. Turns out I'm fairly close. Probably could've made it a full 10k if it wasn't for the .75 miles uphill at the end

Ran in my first 5k race. Chip time was 29:28 which was slower than I wanted but I'm very proud of how much my pace improved throughout the race once I got through the blockade of walkers.

I had my annual doctor check up yesterday. Last year my doctor decided to do an early screening for diabetes due to family history. I tested just below the threshold. Since then I changed my diet and exercise. My doctor started to tear up when she saw the progress I made. That early test did so much

Lately I've been going to a tea shop every week and it is exactly the type of third place that I needed. Can go there and read, chat with friends, chat with staff/other patrons, or just enjoy a cup of tea.
And the cost of a tea is relatively small, especially with free re-steeps.

Tried Riftbound at LDXP Tacoma. Was excited to learn and hoped for a prerelease vibe. Instead it was a bunch of grinders who've been finding ways to practice for months and it felt closer to a GP day 2. Really wish @laughingdragonmtg.bsky.social ran a new player or learn to play event instead.

Progress photos from my tattoo session. 1 session left. At first I wanted something small that could be turned into a half sleeve if I handled a needle well. Super glad she convinced me to do a half sleeve with the option of stopping at the hummingbird if it was too much (it was not too much)

I finally convince him to just play a meta deck with minimal changes. He has a good result and then immediately starts talking about going up to 61 cards
Had been feeling really stressed about deck choice for houston then a friend smacked me and said just play the best deck you have reps on. Registered with 1 second to spare for the challenge today, bubbled to 12th on breakers at 5-2. my round 4, 5, and 6 opponents all made top 8.

About a month ago I made a goal to be able to run a 5k by Thanksgiving so I can do a turkey trot. I reached that goal way faster than expected so now I need to start improving my time!

Very excited for MagicCon Atlanta. Trying to switch things up this time by playing more events instead of just roaming around. I'll be bringing legacy, modern, and pauper. If I play commander at all I'm hoping to just borrow a deck from someone to get a new play experience.
