There's a real, non-zero possibility that Ghislaine Maxwell gives the DOJ all the assurances they ask for, and then gets in front of Congress and absolutely buries him. She's already a dead woman walking and she knows it. I'm not holding my breath, but that would be my play here.

This is tough. Many of my colleagues have left or are leaving. Unless the final FY26 budget is significantly different from the proposal, my center stands to have a huge contractor layoff in September.
NASA has announced a significant reduction in its workforce, with approximately 20% of its employees expected to depart the agency soon. Around 3,870 positions will be cut, though that number may shift in the coming days. Following the reduction, NASA’s workforce is projected to total about 14,000.

I sure hope so, but I'm really worried about whether they even allow the midterms to happen. They just allocated billions to the masked gestapo. Ordinary citizens are no match for a highly funded paramilitary force with no regard for the law.
