At some point I want to buy a used copy of “A Little Life” so that when i’m in a good enough place mentally to read it, I can throw it across the room as need and not worry about damaging a library book.

The Broposal by Sonora Reyes (They/Them) is about two best friends, one with citizenship and one undocumented, that decide to get married so the one doesn’t face possible deportation. This book was like a warm hug, but also dealt with serious topics like domestic abuse and immigration status. 5/5

Just had to break the news to Alfred (my cat) that I can’t cuddle with him all day and that I have to go to work to provide for him. He’s understandably devastated.

And a simple regular visit to my primary could easily cost me 100-200. I thankfully didn’t have anything serious happen the year or so I had that insurance but the bills were still a lot to deal with for a 20 something just starting out on their own.

I had UnitedHealthcare at a time I really needed therapy and I had to pay hundreds out of pocket for an online based therapy because any other option with my insurance was too expensive for me at the time (still is tbh but thank god for my current plan having great coverage).

Wiped down some books returned from a parent and child (who appeared to have had a very recent and hopefully not current bout with chicken pox or measles). Please vaccinate your kids.

As a librarian, I support this message! Use your local library!
Yes, libraries are invaluable for their collections and public services they offer, but also social contact without the expectation to interact with anyone or spend any money is so important to so many people
