Morning 👋

How are we all today?

I see the billionaire of online sales is in super discount mode. (That wedding wasn't cheap)

This is a little reminder of our list of Irish Designers.

Reposts would be wonderful 😉

For anyone who's looking to hear some more from us, our friend Stephen just released a new episode of his podcast Disney's Demons, where he talks about the darker themes in Disney films.

We've guested on this episode talking about Basil the Great Mouse Detective.

Shop local when you can.

Many Irish bookshops, including Kennys, offer free delivery.
Irish businesses will struggle to compete with Amazon ie, both online and in the high street.

Shop direct with your Irish retailers, who already exist.

Support local, not the billionaires.

A reminder - don't use Amazon, but go to bookshops, which play a far more vital role in promoting literacy just by simply making books more visible, and allow you to find things by chance rather than by what the algorithm decides.

I know it's 'Black Friday' and some of you will grab a bargain and I don't blame you. But don't forget Irish small businesses - bookshops, craftspeople, artists - who are desperate for your custom. Spread the love.

I remember reading this during the lockdown Christmas. It was, and still is, a gem. And now, almost a Christmas tradition.
(Check out Ritchy's book too.)
The most stressed out I've ever been about Christmas was when I was 16 and I got my first ever job, working at M&S in Dundrum. As soon as I started I kept hearing these myths about the Christmas Eve Waste Sale, where all the food that wasn't sold on the 24th was marked down 90%.

I bought myself one of Ciara's prints a while back, so I can recommend them with confidence.
A great idea for Christmas gifts. I'll be ordering again before the rush starts. #supportthearts #buyirish
📌 Lil' note: ciaraioch.com is now taking Christmas orders for prints, gift cards and value bundles - each archival-quality print on textured heavy paper is made in Ireland, shipped in eco-friendly packaging with discount tracked postage available, and comes with free mini-treats for every customer 🎁
