Really wish more people understood this. Sex workers are often one of the first "test subjects" of authoritarian policy.
Worse yet, once the laws and policies are in place, they are hard to repeal, and all of us- not just sex workers- suffer.

One thing we don't discuss enough-
if we make "feeling empowered" a requirement for something to be seen as real work, or the baseline for workers to have safe conditions, we set all workers in all industries back.
Many don't feel empowered at work, but they deserve safe working conditions.
