And that Canadian oil will now compete directly with Venezuelan oil, granting an additional 'benefit' to the US in the form of another hit to the Canadian economy.

As I understand it, though, American refineries are only equipped to process the type of heavy crude produced by Venezuela. The only other suitable alternative is that produced in the Canadian oil sands. The oil may be shit, but it's shit that the US is capable of exploiting domestically.

Keep calm and continue supporting Ukraine. If anyone here didn't know it yet, people can spite Trump simply by donating directly to Ukraine. There are many fundraisers, I use this one monthly: u24.gov.ua

America is minimally 75% of the 'separatist problem' in Alberta.

And who requested that the 'average American' fix it? Nobody but you has asked for a 'fix'. Rather, people have asked for a recognition of responsibility that you are shockingly unwilling to give.

You asked for proof that your government is undermining its democratic allies worldwide. I provided it. You did nothing but prevaricate. And now, rather than address the issue at hand, you've resorted to 'Well what are we supposed to do about it?' Utterly ridiculous.

If pitchforks were all you had then yes, you should run in the street with them. But I believe you have an awful lot of guns that are expressly protected for this exact purpose.

Recognise your complicity. Don't ask those of us at the mercy of your government's imperialist agenda to justify our objections. Take responsibility. Act on your convictions. Don't ask others to save you if you're unwilling to act on your own behalf. Simple.

Your country is undermining democracies worldwide for its own (short-term and short-sighted) economic benefit. I'd suggest that you read more widely, but it's clear that you'd prefer to remain willfully blind.

The assertion to which you responded did not specify Trump's current term. Furthermore, Trump was also elected in 2016. It's reasonable to assume that the forces backing him continued their agenda in the intervening years.
