I want to advocate for the introduction of Universal Basic Income (UBI) as well, which is a cause I'm very passionate about. Also keen to mentor and invest in younger women entrepreneurs."

The biggest thing would be bootstrapping our company iMomentum for the first few years when the bills were coming in thick and fast. This places a lot of pressure on us. In hindsight, sourcing investment earlier would've very likelu created less stress at a time when everything was new and challenging already. "

A: Mel - As a health professional with absolutely no background in tech, I sat on the idea for nearly a year! But not able to get it out of my head, I talked to family, friends and colleagues about it a lot. Eventually I thought I need to find out if it's even possible. A friend of my mum put me in contact with a professor at the Optometry Research Lab at UNSW. After a chat about my idea, he told me he believed it was achievable, but..he had no idea 'how'. So it was possible. That's all I needed to hear."

I immediately noticed how hard it was for the 'older' family members to read it compared to the younger ones. Everyone over 40 was busy looking for glasses and holding it at a distance to read it. It didn't seem right to me. I had a sudden thought - what if the phone could be designed so older people didn't need their glasses to use it? ELEVU was conceived."

On this Holocaust Remembrance Day, I ask that EVERY single time we hear Dutton and his LNP ilk trying to divide us, we all remember this particular line:

“…It started with a politician dividing the people with “us vs them”

History has shown us where this rhetoric leads.
