I grew up in Stephenville, NL - a town that had an American Air Base from '41-'66.
The USA 'made' my town.
My province was 'The Dominion of Newfoundland' (British ruled) in '41.
We chose Canada in a referendum and 'became' Canadian March 31, 1949. But on March 4, 2025, we BECAME CANADIAN.

People need to plan for climate risks. The research is there, but the usability for stakeholders can be limited. We introduce the reversal of the impact chain approach for actionable climate information that allows linking local risk levels directly to GHG emission. www.nature.com/articles/s41...

Pierre Poilievre says Canadians are too obsessed with race because of “wokeism” and agrees with Jordan Peterson that Canada essentially had to invent and import racism because it didn’t exist here before recent decades.

Canada is so fucked if this guy forms government.

Poor road conditions in St. John's as of 0700. Surface roads, ORR and the TGH are not plowed or salted. Visibility is poor with large snowflakes that hinder high beams. Grip is low, studs are ineffective in these conditions. Take your time, don't over drive your headlights. #nlwx #nltraffic
