Lead candidate for the Greens in the SA upper house. #saparli

Authorised by A Wheaton, The Greens SA, Adelaide 5000
Zohran Mamdani’s win is proof we can stand up to Trumpian politics at the same time as standing up to establishment politics.

We the people have the power.

When we unite against the billionaires, corporations and wealthy, we can get better outcomes for all of us.

30 staff at Flinders Uni could lose their jobs, including scientists researching the toxic algal bloom.

Axing these scientists is like turning back fire trucks in the middle of a bushfire.

SA is facing the biggest environmental catastrophe in its history. We need every bit of expertise we have.

The Labor party have handed the purse strings to Tom Koutsantonis who has continually demonstrated his love-affair with fossil fuels.

At a time when we need urgent action on climate change, we're seeing the Labor Government continue to be in bed with major polluters such as Santos.

The harmful algal bloom is here to stay. Labor says it’s caused by climate change. So why are they opening by up new gas exploration?

This World Environment Day lets:
- protect what’s left
- restore what’s lost
- remember what’s important

I’d prefer a Prime Minister to stand up to Trump, not stand with Trump.
March 6, 2025 at 10:14 PM
Honest question:
If everyone (incl the media) stopped talking about Trump, would he keep doing the terrible things?

If you stop paying attention to a toddler when they act out, they stop the negative behaviours. Does the same apply here?

The more we learn about the nuclear waste at Osborne the worse it gets.

We need to stop the nuclear waste storage, and stop AUKUS.

#saparli #aukus
Yday our visitors saw how close Osborne sub base (prop #nuclearwaste☢️ dump site) is to suburb residents (across the road), coastal Adelaide residents (10 mns along coast to many suburbs) & saw site works in progress. What’s happening @albomp.bsky.social? #saparli #auspol #AUKUS☢️
Why is @albomp.bsky.social fighting so hard to prevent the public from knowing his plans for #AUKUS nuclear waste. His lack of transparency on such an important topic is a breach of promise and hugely disrespectful. #auspol

A Dutton Government won’t support free TAFE.
COALITION SHOWS ITS HAND ON TAFE FUNDING CUTS

In a clear indication of a future Dutton Government’s plans to cut TAFE funding, the Federal Opposition has asked the South Australian Government if it would continue free TAFE if the Commonwealth reduced its funding. #auspol

Preferences are going to decide this election as neither of the majors have a strong vote.

Your preferences are your own & flow how you want them to.

Voting Green #1 can get more Greens in parliament and also tells the majors that you care about the issues we’re talking about.

#auspol
#BREAKING 🚨 Labor's primary vote is down in the latest Newspoll, dropping to 31%, while the Coalition is unchanged at 39% and is marginally ahead on a national two-party-preferred basis

Anthony Albanese remains preferred PM at 44% (-1), while Peter Dutton sits at 41% (+3)

Pressure works.

Labor says it will increase the fed share of public school funding to 25% and eliminate the 4% deduction loophole, which teacher unions and the Greens have been pushing for.

But it looks like 100% funding is STILL a decade away. We look forward to more details in the coming days.

Let’s not let the billionaires divide us by starting a culture war.

The real systemic problem that needs solving is the wealth divide.

Media: the ratio is one Israeli ‘hostage’ will be released for every 30 Palestinian ‘prisoners’.

Why is the terminology so different?

5 years on from the fires that devastated my home town. Fires and floods are becoming more frequent as the climate changes, and Labor are tinkering with truth about coal mines.

I want real climate action not false words.

As the lead candidate for the Legislative Council at the next state election in SA, I’ll be campaigning for real outcomes for people & planet.
