“Your executive order is nothing but bad graffiti on the Constitution and we are going to wash it off.”

NIH top career people, take this attitude too. You do not need to implement illegal orders just because they are in an EO.

Stand up, NIH! If you don’t Trump will fire you eventually anyway.
Raskin: You are not our king, and we are not your subjects. We will never be your subjects. All of us born here on this land are citizens and your executive order is nothing but bad graffiti on the Constitution, and we're going to wash it off today

For those with terminated NSF and NIH grants, there is a tracking system; here is the link to report your terminated grant(s); the intention is to advocate for the major loss to scientific research.

Three grants from my department at CSU were terminated today. We will definitely have a few staff laid off as a result. I am beyond angry.
The 3rd round of NSF grant cuts have begun. ~300 are expected to come from the EDU directorate alone.

Awards associated with the chem division have been spared so far, but several chem education researchers had their grants canceled.

Here's what we know so far: cen.acs.org/policy/resea...
NSF terminates over 1,000 grants in 2 weeks
Chemistry education researchers and others hit by cuts weigh appeals and lawsuits

@mcuban.bsky.social this is a long shot but my account is small & the losses to science are too great to not ask for favors. Please consider getting the word out about AHRQ & NIH funding cuts. We are losing a generation of scientists & American innovation. Thanks! 🤞🙏

EVERYONE need to looks at this long list of terminated
grants.
Interested in what NIH grants have been cancelled to date? You can see award numbers, institutions and titles here. Not sure how often this list is being updated but seems to reflect only those that have received "official" notices from NIH (some of us haven't yet) taggs.hhs.gov/Content/Data...

Ms. Cortez-Masto, Mr. Durbin, Mr. Fetterman, Ms. Hassan, Mr. King, Mr. Peters, Mr. Schatz, and Mr. Schumer should be utterly ashamed.

Updated the NIH CSR study section tracking sheet to include meetings originally scheduled for 03/17-03/21. There are now over *two hundred* study sections that didn't meet as scheduled. Likely an undercount due to things I couldn't scrape orig date was removed. docs.google.com/spreadsheets...

Can someone out there please explain to me how terminating funding for research focused on promoting “health and healthcare among those living with disabilities” or identifying “risk and protective factors for family health and family-level interventions” is Making America Healthy Again?
76 notices of grant opportunities have been unpublished by the NIH. It’s likely all the grants funded under each of these mechanisms will be terminated. Look at what will be lost, eg:

If scientists and doctors don't resist, it makes it harder for the rest of us to do so. We'll still prevail, but it will be harder to do.

It should be very clear to every Senate Democrat that any vote for Cloture will also be considered a vote for the bill.

People aren’t going to be tricked with procedural games.

They know exactly what is going on.

Defend Medicaid.
Vote NO on Cloture.
NO on bill.

@bennet.senate.gov you must vote NO on the CR. Protect Medicaid. Protect science.
