I will say, a lot of Irish people have a surprisingly huge blind spot on North American indigenous languages. They will casually make fun of place names in the U.S./Canada like Massachusetts, Connecticut, Seattle, etc. without a second thought that uh, maybe those aren’t just gibberish names!

This is less concerning than all the (former?) Sisley properties down the street that are still sitting undeveloped right next to RHS and the Link station.

If they even focused on providing drop-off services in the densest parts of the city, apartment dwellers could just walk to drop off batteries whenever needed. Most places they list to drop off used batteries functionally require driving to get there, at least from Capitol Hill.

The land use around Roosevelt vs. Northgate stations are night-and-day, despite being one stop apart. Roosevelt’s also not far from I-5, but it’s easy to forget because of the buffer of a few city blocks with apartment buildings separating us from the highway.

There are also no stores within the town and the population is approximately 1000 very rich people so the idea that they’re even bringing up sales tax to fund local amenities is simply bonkers.

And yes I do feel strongly about this as an Irish person. This is my cultural heritage! Going from door to door is an essential part of the tradition!
