It’s almost as if this wasn’t efficient at all…. Just a billionaire with an ego trying to destroy as much as he can as fast as possible, and then scrambling to avoid the consequences of those stupid decisions

Someone just confirmed that some of the most amazing people we all know at the NIH were let go, some after YEARS of excellent service that led to recent promotions. I hope they fight and I hope we can support them in the meantime. This is crazy.

So proud and grateful for the many citizens protesting the authoritarian fascist coup in the US government. It is being censored in the media, but socials have images and videos that bring me so much hope! Thank you for standing up for science, for women, for trans people, the disabled and the poor!

I think we should be cautious about embracing the "NIH needs reform" nonsense. The sort of reform you are all thinking about bears little resemblance to what the right wingers have in mind. Don't be naive.
