About Bernie Sanders: “He brings awareness of what’s going on in the country, and he’s giving voice to those who are voiceless,” Dina Garibay, a teacher, told @megankstack.bsky.social. “He wants to stand up for the rights of everybody, and the Democratic Party doesn’t always stand up for that.”

Starvation is not a negotiation tactic.

I went to Chicago, which Trump sold as "ground zero" for deportation, & got an earful about migrant bus arrivals; undocumented workers who shore up the economy; politics of resentment; and why some people still support Trump even as they fear deportation.

There are a thousand reasons Musk& his minions should not legally have access to the social security records, and it’s not just financial/payments. It’s overall privacy rights. For example — just 1 example — these records are the most efficient way to ID/find every trans person.

This is the lash photograph of Dr Hussam Abu Safiyeh, taken as he walks, unflinching, towards the Israeli tanks. An absolutely harrowing image.

Somehow President Biden’s unauthorized, ineffective, and still ongoing conflict with the Houthis isn’t generating the same controversy as his pardon decision.
Stronger textual basis for the pardon than this conflict with the Houthis.

The Biden admin has lied to congress about what it knew, that Israel was in fact blocking humanitarian aid to Gaza. Two separate government bodies told them.
I repeat, in very clear terms: the Biden admin knew that Israel was starving children and lied about it.

The US needs a clear understanding of what it's done in, & to, Ukraine. I mean every administration since the Soviet collapse. We pull Ukraine close, make promises we don't keep, dangle NATO perpetually &, ultimately, let Ukraine suffer the ensuring wrath of Russia.
