This whole “here I am in my antifa uniform” (while dressed in a US military uniform) is a little tone deaf, honestly. Most people join bc of what it can do to advance their own life, and the rest of us joined to support US hegemony. It’s not like we were fighting Nazis in the GWOT.

First (half) day of furlough was actually pretty great. After som came home from school, we went to the local comic shop and the boba place. Talked about his high school & college plans (omg, he’s only 13, where did the time go?). Played video games at home together and laughed a lot.

One of the scariest things is watching ambivalent or intimidated people “just following the crowd” when they don’t HAVE to - non-federal flags at half-mast, moments of silence, firing/disciplining ppl who don’t follow the crowd, etc. Enablers, all of them.
