I'm a person that does stuff sometimes.
From what I've tried, the gyro is still pretty bad with Joy-Con 2 in SMG.

IMO it mostly hinges on those controls. Whichever you hate more (gyro pointer, shaking), go for the other version.

Also, depending on where you live, if you look hard enough, you can probably get a Wii + peripherals + Wii version of the game for cheaper than just the Switch version of the game.

It's hard to say this early, given the uncertainties like this whole Banktoad thing. Switch has gyro pointer, which is objectively worse than Wii pointer since it decalibrates constantly, and that's a dealbreaker for me personally. But you are required to shake the controller on Wii to spin.

It's also the wrong colour, so Bouldergeist doesn't fit quite as well anymore.

(Scope meaning: the same type of minor texture upgrades, amiibo support, etc...)

OK, so this might've been a bit of a premature celebration; it "turns on" but doesn't really do anything. Not even a beep. Think the motherboard might've been cooked :(

WHAT. I was SURE this laptop was cooked. It wouldn't power on at all, and after taking it apart it became apparent the battery leaked all over not just its compartment, but part of the main board too. So this was a guaranteed goner. But I cleaned it up, and, it works?????????????

In fact, it looks like they even reimplemented some of the PSP SDK in C#.

I looked into it a bit more and this was wrong, actually; it seems they really did rewrite the game in C#. Huh.
